I have a male betta. I’m going out of town for about 3, 4 days and bought some fish food that dissolves in the water over time. The package says for tropical fish. I just wanted to know if this is right for my fish. And if not what can I get for him?

I’m a girl (5′4) and have fished enough in my life to know what I’m doing though am not a "good" fisherman, I just do it for fun.

I do it often at creeks and such, and plan on doing it more with some more experienced/sport fisherman friends, so I’d be learning. I wouldd prefer not to look like a jackass rookie (excuse the language) out on the boat and/or land so keep that in mind when thinking of a fishing pole.

I want something relatively inexpensive, yet with good quality …and relevant to my fishing habitats.

i fish in a very large pond about 6 acres where the dept at most is 40 ft and im new to the sport so i didnt know what to go about using to catch some of these monsters. The pond has open areas no cove like areas or grassy places. what bait anything fake?

I am a strong high school student currently. I will be going to college next year, but I have no idea what kind of job I would enjoy. My parents want me to be a doctor, but I fell this is too demanding. I love adventure, including traveling, water sports, fishing, mountain biking, etc. and I think being a doctor would not give me the time to do the things I love to do. I also want to make enough money. My ultimate dream is to retire to Monterey. What kind of jobs do you think I might be able to live the sort of life I dream of?

I need to know what the strongest fishing knot is for tying 8 pound test onto a #4 or #6 hook. A how to guide would be nice. Also, what is the best knot to tie 8 pound test onto something along the line of a 16 pound test leader? Meaning line to line knot. Thanks!

I’m talking about slabs of fish in 1/2 pound packages in a market, not about prepared food in a restaurant. I live in Somerville, if that makes a difference. I like tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and mackerel. Don’t bother writing in with the price of sushi rolls, octopus, cooked fish, or with the price on the West Coast.

He made me go fishing w/ him when I hated it and used to wrestle me all the time and play rough. I turned out to be gay as a young adult and I hate my dad. Does he deserve it or should I stay in contact with him? He thinks it is a phase and every time I see him he asks me if I have a girlfriend yet. I am very uncomfortable around him and I’ve been with the same guy 7 years but now I want to introduce him to my parents. I am afraid my dad will say something stupid.

The Lerner Group bought if for 0 million dollars and then went fishing for Corporate Subsidies (aka Corporate Welfare). The city government agreed to spend 1 million dollars on a new stadium. In effect the BILLIONAIRE owners of MLBs 30 teams received a transfer of wealth (talk about "socialism" or Reverse Robin Hood)from the taxpayers just by moving a failing team to a new city. Basically, the Lerner Group got the team for FREE! How? The purchase price was 0 million while the subsidy is worth 1 million, or 1 million more than the purchase price!
Don’t YOU wish you could own a Pro-Sports team so the US government could GIVE you MILLIONS of dollars of Tax Payer money? Republicans, How do YOU feel about THIS type of Welfare? Basically, the jobs created are being paid for with OUR money!
